WHoA got me

So its been a hard first semester- trying to finish up my last year of my master’s and applying for my Phd, working two jobs, etc- and now I am in the hell known as finals (complete with that 25 page Cotton Mather paper) so I succumbed to WHoA

I thought I deserved it- earlier this week I put in my order for my first high-end whistle- an Elfsong… I am soooo excited… so excited… I really wanted to get a silkstone too but I restrained myself, but I did get my S.O. an acorn whistle so he could have his own.. he kept stealing my sweetone (he’s very cute- he’s trying to learn some of the songs I play- he sits and intently watches my fingers move so he can learn the notes)

anyway I wanted to share my excitement with folks who will understand…

back to that paper…

Oh boy someone to wait with. I ordered mine a week ago. Five weeks to go I think. You didnt say what key or color. I keep going back to Sandys website just to look at my soon to be whistle.

Tom

Tom,
yes we can wait in anticipation together- I got mine in a high D in summer’s evening with stars… i just love the blue color scheme…

Angela,

A 25 page Cotton Mather paper–you do deserve it. Let us know how it sounds, so I can use the info during my next case of WhOA (my first case happened before I even picked up a whistle, so this can’t be a good thing…I ended up with two that time)

Yup…after writing a paper on Cotton Mather, you definitely owe yourself an Elf Song! I played mine at Morris practice today for the first time…sweet, sweet, sweet!

Great choice! I’ve already decided that as soon as I have enough money, my first high end whistle will be an Elf Song. Due in no small part, I might add, to all the good things I’ve heard about them on this board. I can hardly wait to order mine. I hope you enjoy yours when they arrive. Hopefully the wait is not unbarable!

the wait time is actually perfect for me because the elfsong will likly arrive at the same time I get my acceptance or rejection letters from the PhD programs I applied too..

this way I figure I can either play happy jigs and reels on my new whistle if I get accepted to places, or i can play sad sad slow airs if i get rejection letters…

I put in my order for my own C/D combo Elfsong set last weekend, so I too am waiting quite anxiously! They’re also my first high-end whistles. I got the D tube in Ruby and the C in Pearl. Just can’t wait either!!
