…I just have to say once again how much I’m loving my Elfsong! I’ve had it for over a month now, play it every day, and every day it just seems to keep getting better, as I learn its ins and outs. This is the one whistle I have that really feels like a part of me…as I get warmed up, it seems like all I have to do is think about the sound I want and the whistle obliges. And it just sounds so lovely…seems all I want to do these days is play!
Sorry…just finished another happy marathon practice session and wanted to get that off my chest!
Sheesh – you guys won’t leave whoa enough alone, will ya? You’re going to make me want one of these things! (Notice the careful – and not quite true – use of the future tense there . . . )
Geez, everyone’s obsessed with this elfsong thing. I’ll have to try one sometime. I hope it’s not just another mob mentality thing…and don’t say you do’nt know what I’m talking about…

Well, all I can say is, if it is, it’s affected my ears
I’m not much of a one to go with the mob…I plays what I likes and I likes what I plays, if you know what I mean.

I’ve already decided that elfsong is going to be my first high-end whistle. That is, as soon as I can afford it. Stupid university budgit…

I’m with, you, Snuh. I live in Philly, and it’s terribly disloyal of me not to be thinking of Copeland, but I think an elfsong will be my first high-end whistle, too.
I have a piper friend who plans on an elfsong purchase very soon … the chanter/whistle in Bb. (Here it is: http://www.elfsongwhistles.com/chanter_whistle.htm)
So I’ll get a chance to check one out up close and personal pretty soon.
I have to say that I agree with Redwolf. Of the dozen or so whistles I have “acquired” my favs are defintely the Elsongs, esp. the D. I follow that with a Clark Sweetone, then maybe a Generation or my first whistle, a Feadog. All the rest sit in a bag keep a crappy Meg company.
