Elfsongs are-a-comin

Just heard from Sandy Jasper and my Elfsong set,one head, two bodies(C and D)will be “posted off” tomorrow morning.

Oh, Elfsongs are-a-comin, there’ll be whistlin in a forte-night. Yaahoo!

Just had to get it out of my system, thanks.

Keith

What are Elfsongs?

Tom

They are great looking, and sounding according to a number of fellow C&Fers, whistles made by Sandy Jasper.

Check out the West Coast Whistle Co. web page at http://www.elfsongwhistles.com.

Tom’s teasing you–he’s waiting for his black marbled beauty at this point.

You’ll love them! I have a C/D set, and am waiting for notice on an F/G set. Enjoy them! They are wonderful whistles!

Aodhan

Aodhan,
Just curious, do you play one more than the other. Much difference in sound/chiff/etc between the C and the D?
I have Burke C and D brass whistles and like the “weight” in my hand. Am looking forward to the Elfsongs having a similar feel!

Keith

My elfsongs are coming soon too! I’m getting an E-F-G set. Can’t wait. I expect to do a lot of dog calling in the next few weeks.

I’m not Aodhan , but I have a C/D set too. I probably play the D slightly more often than the C, as I use it for Morris, but I do switch between them fairly frequently, for the change and to keep my fingers accustomed to playing the slightly larger C. I haven’t noticed any difference in chiffiness between the two…they’re remarkably similar, other than the key. Really lovely whistles…as they warm up, they just get better and better!

Can anyone post a pic f the elfsong? apparently for some reason, I’m unable to get to the site…

thanx…

This isn’t a great picture, but…

The blue one in the middle is my Elfsong with the C tube (“Starry Night”), and that’s the D tube (“Emerald Gold”) next to it. If no one else posts a pic, and if you’re still unable to visit the site later, I can take a better picture and post it. This was just a quick shot of all my whistles, and the resolution isn’t very high.

This is the natural finish, they have a bazillion others.

I just ordered one today too. I’m getting a Bb in the royal lavender. I am so excited about this whistle. I am even more excited that it is locally made!
