The latest Sindt photos

This is Bb Sindt. It was 9 months and more wait(03.3.24.-04.1.12.).
I have tried this headpiece for Reyburn’s offset tube.

Someone says most gold flutes are not instruments to play sitting and making oneself at home.On some gold flutes(like YFL-884),I agree with this opinion. They are likely to demand air efficient humen to produce a nice sound.

My Sindt also has that ‘to play sitting and making oneself at home’ part(I think any whistles are supposed to have that part because they are all commercial products as anyone says everything is a trade-off).So what I tried on my old Sindt was to decrease this part.

I prudently tweaked my Sindt’s headpiece to spend time.As it turned out,I learned what was the embouchure cutting(undercutting, shouldercutting) on flutes. Not knowingly,I did almost the same things like the embouchure on YFL-884 by YAMAHA(which demands severe breathing control,Yamaha Japan has very good site for embouchure cutting examples).

In the end,the tweak was success. But at the same time,I suddenly wanted to have the original Sindt which still holds a ‘easy to blow’ part for less cocentration/quiet practice. And finally, what I wanted is here(luckily I ordered it before). It’s new Sindt.
Sindt is a very good overall whistle after all. I recognized that.

Now I keep comparing this new original Sindt headpiece with my tweaked Sindt headpiece to weigh my decision on my old Sindt carefully.

Looks a lot like a Syn! :astonished:

lol

Sindt and Syn,pronunciation the same?

I received a Sindt A together with an additional Bb tube,at the end of dec. 03, and I’m extremely pleased with them.
In addition,I have placed an order for a B tube, and also a C whistle with additional C# tube.
These odd keys will come in handy for playing along with recordings of ‘flat set’ Uilleannn pipes (Seamus Ennis’ recordings of his famous C# Coyne set come immediately to mind),and also a B tube means that I could also play in the key of E,which could be handy.
John is a good craftsman, and Ann Sindt does a good job with the ‘paperwork’,always replying to e-mailed questions about Sindt products and keeping customers up to date with their orders.

Congrats! kevin.

I am ordering another Sindt Bb and Reyburn’s offset tubes.
I might want to get the other keys for experiences, but for now all I need are backups.

My goal for the moment is to play modern jazz with this offset Sindt.
Jazz is not my special favorite but it’s a very good training for half-holing.

Hi folks, I’m currently working on an idea for a brass Syn. Would it be a sin to call it a Syndt?
Syn.

syn

no, not a sin as long as you can make the brass syn sing.

Syn + Brass + Low D = Whee!

Oooo. I feel the WhOA creaping back in! :boggle: If it’s like the one I just bought, but maybe a different tone, I want one.
