Not yesterday, no, but I caught them earlier this year and interviewed Colin Melville, their current piper/whistle player.

Needless to say, a fantastic show. TW is one of the few trad bands whose songs appeal to me as much as their dance tunes. They played a nice dristribution of dance tunes, up-tempo songs, and slow stuff.
I was lucky enough to sit 5 feet in front of Phil Smillie, the fluter. Move over McGoldrick, this guy has been doing it for decades. He’s a masterful player. What particularly impressed me is his ability to keep up with warp-speed highland pipe tunes and yet keep the whole musical and tasteful (and fun.) The rest of the band was equally strong. My only complaint was that John Martin, the FIddler, was pretty much inaudible from my seat

I wanted to corner Phil and harass him about Scottish style fluting, but my companion had determined that it was time to go immediately after the show.
You could have easily seen both shows - since the venues share a parking lot! The tannies finished up around 10: 40 or so.
