Moon Slide Slim

Lunar eclipse being observed by Teleopsis dalmanni, a species of Stalk-Eyed Fly.

I think I even caught a little Blue Horizon there.

There’s a total lunar eclipse today/tomorrow. Details here.

yep…'sposed ta rain all day here. :swear:

And we have to be up at three in the morning. :swear: :swear: :swear:

 7-8 PM here…bring beer…maybe the sky will clear

@ 6 PM … a few clouds in the east (pushed up against the mountains) otherwise clear

still waiting for the sucker ta come up…
and for Steve

Well, I went to bed at 1.30 and it was quite cloudy, so I didn’t bother setting the alarm. :frowning:

Although it was red, it was a dull, flat red, like a dried blood stain. What amazed me more was how much brighter all the stars were in contrast around it, even here in the city. At -14°C and me in my pj’s, I did not linger long.

Ever thought of going into writing children’s novels?

Here it was an orange-ish color. Very clear out @ 10:26!

I had forgotten it was going to happen Wednesday night until I checked my e-mail around 10 PM-- I had gotten a “You are receiving this email because you are watching the topic, “Moon Slide Slim” at Chiff and Fipple Forums” notice.

Woke up the kid and phoned several friends!

:sunglasses:

Sorry, I don’t understand the reference.

I think he meant it was vividly descriptive, maybe the sort of thing you’d read in a Harry Potter book.

Am I close, Steve?

Gawd, djm, and I thought it was just Merkins who had trouble with the Brit sense of humour! Never mind, the moment has passed…

I don’t think there is enough cotton on the ends of that Q-tip, send it back, get a refund.
