I was going to ask why the contrail was orange like that, but then I remembered to “click the picture”. You really should put that in your siggy line, Denny

:frowning: you and slude, eh

I do post utter nonsense, without pictures, ya know

You? Utter nonsense? Surely you jest

well…that too

I love seeing the very thin crescent moon, especially when it’s very clear out and you get “earthlight”. Always hard to catch it because you can’t see that sliver of moon while the sun is bright, but once the sun has set the moon will set very soon after it. So the thinner the crescent, the smaller the window of opportunity to see it.

There’s a beautiful thin crescent in another part of the lunar cycle too, when the moon has waned away to almost nothing. It rises, then the sun rises very soon afterwards and drowns it out. I had never seen this until I had a newborn baby and was up at 5 AM on a regular basis. "Oh my gosh, look at that!!! :boggle:

I’m sure Denny sees it frequently though

That really is stunning. I’ve sure never seen such a thin bit of moon as that. I guess if you have to get up before the sun I’m not likely to. Maybe I could try it on our vacation----but the moon might not be doing that then.

When did Denny change his name to Shirley?

happened when you were out…odd story
