It looks like coral.
Why is it considered odd?
click da pic…
I did, but I didn’t understand.
It’s late.
I thought this was about a new car.
Cool photos. From the Hubble?
From Cassini. And no, its not coral. Its green cheese. ![]()
djm
the new Saturn Hyperion (notice the odd crater…)

Here’s the sport model…

No, that’s Earth’s moon. This looks like it could be old mozzarella. ![]()
You said it yourself:
Moons don’t normally look like coral. So, this one is unusual (or odd, as some might put it).
It’s also not the almost spherical shape we’re more used to, which adds to its strangeness.
Those craters are deep, and conical. It must have gotten bombarded at high velocity!
If you flew the Mellenium Falcon into one of those craters, it looks like you’d fly out of an eel’s mouth…
Thank you!
I didn’t know that, but apparently everybody else did. ![]()
Cran, the Millenium Falcon is a space ship flown by Han Solo in Star Wars.
Oops, I see I may have cleared some confusion, and subsequently added more confusion… Sorry.
Yeah, you have to have seen Star Wars to understand my last sentence. It’s not important.
I’ve never seen Star Wars (or Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings or whatever), because I don’t watch movies.
I know. We know.
That’s why i explained.
Get it?
Amar, what is that in the lower left corner of your current avatar?
On second thought, never mind. I suspect I don’t really want to know… ![]()
Actually, no. But my brain is not too sharp lately, es tut mir leid!
I like the new avatar, Cran. It looks just like our youngest cat!
(Note: if you are confused because Cranberry’s avatar no longer resembles a cat, rest assured I am not on drugs. It looked like this:

)
I’m not on drugs, either!
It resembles a cat that lives here on campus behind the dumpsters. I suspect it lives there because there are rats there, and cats like to…er…have formal tea parties with rats, as we all know.
