The eclipse was beautiful from our house in Cornwall, seen just after moonrise. It was followed by a weekend of near-record high and low spring tides which were accompanied by glorious weather. I’ll post some pics when I get round to it but not yet as today I’m facing the ultimate trauma - the arrival of a new freezer “some time this afternoon,” the departure of the old one and the logistics of tranferring the contents from the one to the other. :frowning: My sister lives just outside Huddersfield by the way. It’s a great place to live outside of, I can tell yer. :wink:

The moon looks a lot bigger over the UK to the way it does over the USA, because it’s such a small country. You can tell from this picture.

We tried to see the eclipse, but the moon was still below our horizon.
