Gaelic Translation Help Needed

How about a little help with the correct spelling of the Gaelic phrase in The Clancy Brothers’ “The Juice of the Barley”.
I’ve found two different versions of the lyrics, but only one that appears to be close to correct:
“Ban ya on bo is on gawna”, which is supposed to mean “The milk of the cow is allright for the calf”.
That spelling would be pronounced like the phrase in the song, but something tells me it’s nowhere near correct.

In Irish, it is written: “Bainne na mbó 's na ngamhna.” Literally, the words mean “the milk of the cows and of the calves.” (The sense of the words is, of course, as you have correctly interpreted it, in English.)

I don’t know how the Clancy Bros. pronounce the phrase, but I would say “BONN-yuh nuh MOW is nang GOWN-uh.” (The accent is on the syllables that I have capitalized for you, in Connemara Irish.) BONN sounds like the city in Germany; MOW rhymes with toe; and GOWN sounds just like the word for a lady’s formal dress.
