Note the crisp packet underfoot. I didnā€™t play a lot of regs at the time of that photo, as you will surmise from the hand position, since from that angle my wrist wonā€™t reach them. My hair is also a bit greyer now, and the (A. R.) set in the picture now has a new home.

Photo taken on a sponaeous session we had at a flute making workshop w/ Andreas Rogge. Me sitting on the right, playing an old chieftain lowD. Left side: another workshop participant playing a Hunter narrowD set. I think we had the kesh jig when the photo was taken. And it was around 3:30 am, more or less. :wink:

No idea, sorry - the owner of the set bought it from someone some years ago, he didnā€™t mention the previous owners.
But lignum vitae is possible, at least the chanter. :slight_smile:
