OT: Can you spot pipemaker?

Somewhere in this band of kilted stick wavers is David Boisvert of Green wood Pipes. Can you guess which one it is? I am the piper in the brown shirt. I am not sure, but I think this photo was taken in 1988 at the Minnesota Rennaissance Festival…ah, them were the days!

–groan-- Ahh…so THAT"s how we’re gonna play this game eh Joseph? I have not yet BEGUN to sift through my box of old photos! I THINK I have a good one of John Gladman in a dress with grabbin his behind…hmm..

ACK! :open_mouth:

What’s this - the Celtic version of “Where’s Waldo?”

You’ve put on a bit of weight since then Joe..

Slan,
D.

(running for the cover of the whistle board…)

I thought Joe had a back injury that took him out of action. I new this cute girl in college who developed arthritis in the knees at around the age of 22 and she post the weight on quick, poor girl.

That is, she PUT the weight on quick. Sorry.

…sigh…it is true. That old dress doesn’t fit anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:

What? No one’s gonna take a guess? Here’s a hint, he’s carrying a big stick in his hands.

Is David the one with the tannish sporran?

…aaaaaaaaah..nope. Thanks for playing, try again.

…isn’t he the devilishly handsome one that all the girls are throwing themselves at…?

…mmmmmmmm, could be…

This is Davey.

What a piker!

Yes, he cut quite a dashing figure in his Buchanan plaid, holding his big pointy stick…and yes, there were usually loads of ladies gathered around him.

“High ho, High ho..it’s off to war we go, with our pikes and kilts and basket hilts, high ho, high ho high ho high ho…” ..er…you get the idea..

..yes, that’s it. Talk about a flood of memories! Of course, we usually ended up following the elephant…which made for mighty tricky footing.

Hmm … that would explain a lot about Scottish dancing, and puts a whole new light on “Highland Fling”! :astonished:
