I was in Dublin for Tionol 2008 and I met a number of very nice people.

The piper in blue shirt is from Galway and he gave a fantastic session with Finbar McLoughlin (or McLaughlin http://www.unionpipes.co.uk/journal/finbar_mclaughlin.htm ), the piper in white shirt. Do you know his (blue shirt) name?
While I was watching these two guys piping, I realized that Union piping cannot be complete without bass-regulator accompaniment.
He can be seen on this photo as well

He is the top left face, just above Nollaig MacCarthaigh.
Thank You, Miki

I believe I see Bill Haneman playing George Balderose’s Taylor set.
Nice to see that it’s reeded up and going.

It’s a truly amazing set. Nearly everyone’s reaction is one of surprise, as it doesn’t sound at all like a “concert pitch” set - most think from the sound that it’s in C# or even lower. The actual pitch (as currently set up - and what it seems to ‘want’ to play in) is only about 30 cents below A=440.
Tomás!!!
Great pictures. That’s a terrific one of you, Bill.
But come on guys, I’m waiting with bated breath. Who’s the handsome cowboy in the blue shirt?
Inquiring – er – minds want to know.

Where did you get that set Bill?Did you buy it?
Is this the same cowboy behind Liam?
I don’t think Ronan Browne is a ciotóg.

this is getting confusing.
That’s Ronan Browne behind Mick O’Brien and sean Sean potts.
Could be the same guy.

Photo also features Nollaig Carthy and Brian Vallely; the name of the gentleman lower right escapes me at the moment but I know it. Kevin’s crop of the photo doesn’t include the fellow Miki is asking about.
Yes ! He’s quite a dish alright, here he is again, trying to play a Hevia set !

Hi Bill,
I see there’s a mic in front of you in the photo. Will we be able to hear a sample of you playing that Taylor set?
Sheesh. Men. Such one-track minds.
OK, seriously. I would love to hear this set as well – did anyone capture you in flight, Bill?
