The seller was told that the chanter was made by Stephen John McCordick Derby England. I think the chanter looks like its Robbie Hughes chanter or it could be a Brendan O’ Hare chanter I had one like this chanter once.
4 bids already, with a current high bid of 72.5 sterling (136 US$), and the reserve has been met. Pretty low reserve price… though it’s an unknown maker, so…
My Hughes chanter has RJ Hughes clearly stamped on it - I’d have thought that if it was one of Robbies’, its provenance would be obvious and stated by the seller?
However, it looks virtually identical to mine, save for some tiny details…
I also have a pakistani chanter that is virtually identical
Indeed I’ve seen one too that is identical to this. But those Pakistani chanters were modeled on a Hughes chanter so it is tricky to say what breed it is.

Yep…I agree with you guy’s. Unless there’s someone who’s been strongly influenced by “Pakistani” ( see how I’ve been sensitized, Bill ) pipe architecture…I suspect that’s their country of origin. In 2000 I bought a “Scottish” made half set…made in “Scotland” by Bagpipe’s Galore. Here’s a glimpse of the little Sialkot terror’s chanter for comparison. You be the judge.
Hughes imported chanters frae way oot East ten or more years back..tweaked and re reeded them stamped em an sold em…so what! I’m telling ye,it aint gonna be long folks before there will be quality pipes frae south o the Himalayas. That’ll be a shock for some o ye I expect…

Anybody have a reed dim. recommendation on these? Lord know’s where the tone hole’s should be…but the bore look’s pretty standard. 14.25" OAL, .208 throat, .525 bell, 13.3" throat to bell.
