I’ve mentioned before on this board how technologically inept I am. this week’s bout of ineptness is rearing its ugly head in reference to the chiff and fipple chat. I cannot figure out how in the world to use the chat room. I think I managed to get on it, but can’t really tell and have no idea what I am supposed to do once I get on. help me, anyone?
Once you’re in the chat, type some things in the box and hit return or click the ‘say’ button, and you should see your words come back to you.
On the right side is a list of connected users… which may be only your own name.
Every time I’ve connected to chat, I’ve idled around for a while, but I go off to get coffee or type on the board or to (gasp!) do some work, and come back to find people have been and gone and it’s too late to say hi…
Ah, well. One day chat will happen. Maybe?
