Hello C4, and welcome!
This question has been asked before, so here’s a pre-made conversation for you!

In the future, you can check the archives by using the search function. It’s linked in the small text at the upper right of each page.
See you around!

Chris Laughlin knows and it’s only a matter of time before he comes in and tells you exactly what it is…

Thanks for giving me the link to the archives..I guess I wasnt so dumb when I thought it was perhaps a whistle after all…I recently subjected myself to the whole horrid 3hrs of Titanic just so I could hear the whistle in that movie,I was disappointed that it didnt show one of the third class passengers actually playing one…
It’s a frickin’ recorder!

“frickin” recorder? Is that a particular kind of recorder? Is it made from wood or plastic? Is it fully chromatic? Where can I buy one? Can I play “Amazing Grace” on it? Are you sure it wasn’t an ocarina, pan pipe, one of those funky (and as yet unidentified) bicolored whistles played by Sean McCann of Great Big Sea, or perhaps a Ressikan flute played by Patick Stewart?
Is this an educated guess or fact??? It should have been a whistle…Maybe I should sell my whistle and get a recorder[C4 dodging flames, fish and old tweaked whistles]
Use the ‘Search’ function – it is the source of all knowledge. See: http://chiffboard.mati.ca/search.php
It returns this thread:
