Does anyone know what kind of whistle used in LOR? And is it really exspencive? I would appreciate it.
I think a guy named ChrisLaughlin is an expert on the instrument used…he posts here now and then and should check in directly…

Well, this was talked about before when the first one came out and I think that it was determined that it was… a recorder!

Personally, I’d say that if it was a recorder, it was an awfully whistl-y sounding one at that…
And I thought that Joanie Madden cut a song for the LOTR #2 soundtrack??
yeah I thought there was to be footage of the whistle in the Two Towers? I didn’t here much, but a new beautiful fiddle theme that is heard mostly in Rohan.
I asked Joanie myself at a CTL concert, and she said she did record some music for the LOTR soundtrack, and she thought it was going to be in The Two Towers. She must’ve been mistaken, though, because I didn’t hear whistle music anywhere in there…just a pretty violin theme.
