Greetings all,
Anyone played a Whistle Smith “Wicked Good” whistle? Been looking at their low G. Nice price, but that sometimes makes me wary. Any opinions?

This question has been asked here several times, but never answered. Very strange! Maybe you’ll be the courageous guinea pig, I mean pioneer, who will try 'em out and report?
Hmmmmm…
Maybe so. I may email the maker and see what they can say about them. But I imagine they will be a bit partial…
I did have a WhistleSmith whistle in D, but donated it to a good cause. Played nicely, very similiar to a Dixon – but, IMO, Dixon is better. If I recall correctly the tuning was good, sound was fairly pure with a touch of chiff. (Oops – in order to comply with Philo’s definition … I probably mean a little bit of an airish rasp … )
How strange that 3 threads on these whistles pop up in one day …

Yeah, it is. Hey, who’s our most most esteemed reviewer? Maybe by flashing some impressive C&F credentials he/she could arrange the donation of a promo wicked whistle for review? At least then we can all stop wondering, and maybe Rod can get some of our business!
I have a black Whistlesmith whistle that I got back when I was still revewing whistles. Since it doesn’t look like I’m going to be reviewing whistles any time soon, I’d be happy to part with it for $15.00 to someone who wants it or wants to review it..
That’s about half off, and I’ll cover shipping.
(nevermind..it’s gone already! lol)
