Whistle Swappin' Fever!

Yup I’ve got it again

I’m looking for a few different whistles preferably between the keys of C and F
(though I’d also love to try a Burke compostie Low-D)…especially C and Bb.

Here’s what’s on the table:

Dixon Bb (brand spankin’ new I need something louder)

Dixon D/C Duo (flute head, whistle head & 2 bodies)

Reyburn High D (a tremendous tooter if you like traditional sound and quality chiff with better volume and looks than a cheapo)
The Reyburn is gone

Thin Weasel Blackwood (absolutely to die for…I don’t need two)

Let me know via email

Cheers,

Doc

In case you’re wndering…

Yes, compostie is the very same as composite!

Doc

Yes, yes wndering is the very same as wondering

Maybe I should stop typing now

Doc

Er, Doc?

That ‘edit’ icon has a specific purpose, don’t ye know?

Right you are Chuck.

I’ll make a note of it.

Doc

Hmm, would you be interested in trading that thin weasel for a Generation D? I’ll pay shipping. Heh, heh.

I have a Burke composite low F I’d be interested in trading for that Reyburn.

Chris

What key is the Thin Weasel, please.

Doc, you’re trading whistles? Wow, that’s a first! (hold out for an extra Meg!)

ROFL

The thin Weasel is a Hi-D

Cheers,

Doc

The Reyburn has found a home.

Doc

The Dixon D/C combo has a new home.

I’ve had a few offers for the Weasel but haven’t made a decision yet.

The Dixon Bb is also still available.

Thanks,

Doc

All the whistles have found new homes except the Dixon Bb.

Thanks to all

Doc

Doc, I usually like to know where my whistles are living, who got it? Was it Chris?
Ronaldo

Hi Ronaldo. Indeed it was me  I should have tomorrow!
Best,
Chris

You’ll love that Reyburn Chris. It’s a tremendous tooter. I have dessimated my population of Hi-Ds I’m playing my thin Weasel almost exclusively now days. I will probably get another Reyburn someday as the separation anxiety is setting in

I picked up my Reyburn just-tuning Low-D last night for the first time in a few weeks (I’ve been working on flute pretty heavily). Man what a whistle! The complexity and richness of the sound is truly wonderful.

Hey Ronaldo ever thought about carving a wooden flute head that could slide on to your whistles? If you do put me first on the list!

Doc

OK Doc, I’ll let you know.
