Wanna hear a great whistle tune???

Yes??? OK. Go get the video “Babe, Pig in the City”. No, I wasn’t joking. There is an air written by some guy named Paddy Moloney called “Protected by Angels” that is drop dead gorgeous. And before anyone tells me that they also recorded it, I’ve got dibs on this one for my next CD. Am going to use members of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s string section and the great Baltimore piper, Paul Levin. But hey, isn’t this a BEAUT of a tune?

Bob

“Some guy named Paddy Moloney…”
LOL

My faith in this group is always strong. Took only minutes for Chris to find that reference and get the joke. I have a picture of Messr. Moloney and myself. And he really is “some kind of guy”. Heeeee.

Bob

That really is a terrific tune. Anyone got the ABCs for it?

Please post your picture, Bob. Are you wearing anything special?

Dang-- the terrific tune I was thinking of was from the FIRST Babe movie. It was called" If I could sing a day for you"-- gorgeous. I think part of the theme was from a Saint Saens symphony. Anyone know this tune?

Hrmm guys.. please indulge me and my “I heard this first!” syndrome. I’ve been recommending that tune even on C&F (newsletters, word of mouth, on the board) for sometime (3 years?) now but apparently no one, I repeat, no one has heard it until now! rolls eyes heavenwards

Okay. I just want to say, “I heard it first”. Feel much better now. Its a killer tune.

THis soundtrack also has a great example of the whistle used in playing the blues, the tune is Called “Banish the blues”
