Unknown titles for these tunes, could you name them?

Heya,

There’s a few tunes I play and I don’t know their titles, it’s been bugging me for a while, could anyone with good repertoire and knowledge of titles name these 5? Thanks…

Sorry I can’t help you with the tunes, but they sure sound great!!

I know the last one, I’m working on it myself! It’s “The [Little] Bag of Spuds” and can be found on WanderingWhistler’s site.

I believe #4 is the Primrose Lass. (According to 121 FIST, at least.)

Ah thanks guys,

So I’ve got Primrose Lass/The Bag of Spuds sorted out. Only three to go!

The first one is called The Snowy Mountain.

The second one is known as the Snowy Mountain.

And the third is The Snowy Mountain.

I am not sure the that other tunes are called Primrose Lass and Bag of Spuds, though. I thought they were both called The Snowy Mountian.

The #3 is Aaron’s Key

Bloomfield,

I will never ask you to play “The Snowy Mountain”, you might end up playing for hours!!!

Thanks Otter, that makes sens, remember seeing the title somewhere.

Az, you’re welcome.

I first heard Aaron’s key in a set “sandwitched” between Rose in the Heather and O’Deas, played by Stockton’s Wing. I instantly loved that tune and had to learn it. I believe it is on their “Crooked Rose” CD. Never could find that CD anywhere though.

Otter,

Yeah, I have the exact same tune at home, so actually you gave me the name of the following tune, that’s a bonus. Yeah, very nice set. I heard someome play that whole set in a session, and two other tunes after, all lovely tunes…

Wow, Az, great playing on Aaron’s Key. I loved that tune just hearing the MIDI file a few months ago, and it sounds way better to hear you play it on a whistle! It’s lovely.

If anyone else is interested, here’s a link to sheet music for this tune:

Click on Tune Archives in the left frame, then Jigs. Aaron’s Key is the first one in the list. The .gif file gives you the sheet music.

Cees,

Thanks for the compliment. If you liked my version, you would have went crazy hearing it from the person I learned it from… Just breath taking!
