Arghhh I did my best to help you this time Ava, but I just don’t know the titles! The “40” doesnt sound like a session tune, and I’ve never heard it before, but it sounds like a Shetland tune I know. Oh well, I’m sure next time I’ll do better!
Well, let me tell you a quick story about tune 30. More than a year ago when I was in Ireland, I’ve heard Chris Laughlin play two tunes that I really like. The first was the Legacy Jig, the second was this reel. Long after, I tried to practice the reel, and in my head the title was “Legacy Reel”. I’ve learned Legacy Jig recently and actually found out that I’ve been wrong all these months… But somewhere in my heart, this is still Legacy Reel, oh yeah…

Actually John it’s Sean Reid’s. The second tune is a version of Johnny Allen’s reel the name of which I can’t remember. The third I recognize from Fused by McGoldrick, which leads me to realize that the entire set is taken from that album.
Looking at the sleeve shows that track 11 is Sean Reid’s, An Bhean Tinceare, and The Bunny’s Hat (apparently composed by one David Lim).
I’ve never understood why people lift entire sets off popular albums. It only serves to highlight how far their performance falls short of the original artist’s!
So who is the would-be McGoldrick and is that a Susato she or he is blowing so enthusiastically into?
The Bunny’s Hat is also one of the other clips, no. 29 I think.

The “A40” tune is from a track called Glenglass, off of a Wolfstone cd “The Half Tail”. It’s a very nice tune. If anyone comes across any music for it, I would appreciate hearing about it. Cheers, Will
