This was a bust on JC’s Tunefinder, I have Barry Taylor’s midi, but can’t seem to scare up any sheet music. Suggestions? I’ve got a re-renactor who does the Civil War Irish Brigade thing on the harmonica to catch up with. Whoops, I’ve gotta find a tune he doesn’t know! ![]()
Thanks, Gang.
Hey Anna…Neil Dickey came up with the score for me. Maybe he still has it in his computer or maybe I can scan it to email (shudder). (Wondering if the rest of the pack think they’re being over run with rodents…hehe) Gm
If you don’t find any music, lemme know. I can take the midi, and generally import it into Finale to generate a score.
Greg
The problem with finding this tunes/tunes is that there a zillions of “Kerry Dances”, just like there are zillions of “Kerry Polkas”.
Chris
I’m thinking of the Kerry Dance that JAmes Galway and Phil Qulter did on their RCA VIctor Legends Album, the on in comjuction with Lannigan’s Ball and was midi sequences by Barry Taylor which you can find it here: http://www.contemplator.com/tunebook/irshmidi.htm between Kathleem Mavourneen and The Kesh Jig.
Anna,
You can download Tablature Karaoke at http://www.sharewaredirect.co.uk/
It takes midi’s and prints out whistle tab for the tune. In addition it will slow down or speed up the midi without changing the pitch.

Hey, GM, changed my mind, I don’t wanna be a rodent!
Hi Anna,
I have the sheet music for the Barry Taylor’s version of Kerry Dances which I transposed to G for the whistle and put into a gif file but I can’t seem to post it. If someone can tell me how to get it into a posting, I’ll send it to you.
Best wishes, Tom
Edit: O.K. Anna, it’s on it’s way!

Ron, that’s a great little piece of freeware!
Tom, you have to upload the gif to another location and then copy and paste the link. Meanwhile, you can always e-mail it to me.
mandarin@mato.com Thanks so much!
