Just a quick heads up to any interested in coming out. Next Saturday will be the fall mtg. of the Salt Lake Piping Club. We’ll be back up in Ogden this time to go over reed making and work out the finer points of a few tunes. There might possibly be drinking involved as well. Maybe.

Wish I could. I’ve been to SLC only once, and it was only for a couple of hours playing at a house concert. A beautiful place alright.
You flew to SLC for a couple hours to play then went home?! Obviously, next time you need to stay longer and get to meet the local fauna. Of course, some of us may atempt (a little) to chain you to a wall in some dark basement and crank out reeds…but mostly we’re a nice bunch.
Actually, we drove down from Bute Montana. As far as chains and dark basements… I am allergic to those things.

As far as Joseph is concerned, leave that to me. I am trying to lure him with promises of magical local Elder from the high Wasatch! So good even a toddler can make perfect reeds from it with a plastic spork and some drinking straws for staples! Once we get him here then we can discuss chains and dark dungeons.

Actually, I believe the majority of the population there is Mormon. Probably a very small number (if any) are Shi-ite Muslims… they may not drink.

Gosh it’s been such a long time since we’ve played together. Pisser about those mountains being in the way. I guess it’s my turn to come out there for a change, eh?
Hope things are well with you and your merry bunch of thong slingers there on the far side of the divide. 
A few of us RMUPCers are gonna do the Jerry O classes down in La Veta for the Spanish Peaks Celtic Festival next weekend. Should be a real gas.
