RTÉ to release a new Willie Clancy CD?

Thought I’d check what Peter Browne had broadcast in the last few months; on 8th July 2009 (.smil file) he played a few cuts from what he says will be a new record of Willie, starts 5:00 in, the Steampacket and Rakish Paddy played on that Moloney Bros Bb set of his.

Listening to this as I type, now he’s playing Dark Loch na Gar on concert pipes. Peter promises 2CD, in September. Oh well, so much for that. Maybe Christmas?

I have this cut already, it was on Ciarán Mac’s Mo Cheol Thu LP. RTÉ.ie Radio1: The Rolling Wave Can’t find any other mention of this new CD(s) anywhere.

Wrote Peter and he says that this should be available before Christmas.

He brought some tracks to St. Louis in April. Smashing! Some of the best playing from him, no doubt. In brilliant form.
