Rogge's wait time

Anyone know what Andreas Rogge’s wait is for a set?

I’ll bet Andreas knows…

You can expect to wait a minimum of 4 years,

Mark.

Tim, Just visited your site, You are an excellent piper. I wanted to become as good as You, but, unfortunately, I have given up Uilleann piping recently. I payed a hell lot of money for chanters but I was not lucky and I was not talented enough either. Congratulations and Take Care, Miki

I played one of Benedict’s chanters, and the second octave E was perfectly in tune.

Thanks for the kudos on the myspace page. Those recordings are old. I’ve been meaning to paste new ones on there. It will happen eventually.

I just reeded up a Rogge polymer concert chanter, and after playing it a while, I have to say I am very impressed by it. Everything is spot on. It’s a bit loud, but I think that is due to the way I have been making reeds. Ever since I saw the Heart of the Instrument DVD, I have been trying to preserve the upper scrape (heart) of the reed as best as possible. The aperture seems to be stronger, or the elevation higher. I am using a smaller sanding cylinder too. (1.85"). I use the same one for flat pitch reeds.

I played one of their sets once, in Switzerland (it belonged to a piper from Quebec). I must confess it was just grand, perfectly in tune and very, very easy to play. A very nice set indeed.
