Common name, I’m sure, but I know a Mark Taylor… he plays the viola. Good guy. Welcome!
Welcome. We’ll want to know what kind of whistle(s) you own, plan to own and anything else you may own of interest. I like knowing how folks found out about the whistle. Some folks will want to know what you plan on doing with the whistle. How long have you been playing?
Oh man, you’re in for it now… ![]()
Welcome to the Chiffy Mark…
Yes,we’ll want to know more about you…Whistles/Instruments played, type of Music you’re into,Credit Card details
..little things like that…
Hey, the credit card question is for later, once he warms up to us. Keep to the format, it works. Everytime.
Now, what were you saying about whistles Mark?
Welcome! ![]()
Welcome from a beginner. This is a great place to visit, lots of help, lots of advice (mostly useful
), and a great place to find excuses for ‘just one more whistle’…
To all,
Alas, I am not a whistler, except through my lips. I am considering
taking up the recorder though!
I currently play the Anglo concertina, both tenor and baritone.
mutepointe,
Let’s do the time-warp again!
uhhm… i don’t think yer supposed to say rec***er here…
be well,
jim
He blew it! Back to the Squeeze-Box forum, you!
Welcome Mark,
It’s good to see you getting into something different after all those years as Australian captain ![]()
Hey Mark-- seriously, give a whistle a try. You can get really inexpensive ones that still play very well. That and a book/CD tutor combination and you’ll be set. It’s a great little instrument.
You could still make the transition to recorder later, if you like. A soprano recorder fingers a lot (but not exactly) like a D whistle.
