My birthday whistles!

I got 3 whistles and a Whitecap for my birthday. The whistles are a Burke D composite session, a Hoover PVC, and a Sweetheart D pro laminate (bought from AndreaZ - thanks Andrea!). The Whitecap is currently on my 2 piece Clare.

Just felt like gloating a bit! :party: :smiley: :stuck_out_tongue: :party:

Hey Bloom, Iā€™ll write a review of the Sweet whistle after Iā€™ve played it for a few more days. So far though, I absolutely love itā€¦ :slight_smile:

When was the birthday? Mine was the 23rd- big 50!!! ugh!!!

I got myself the cd and book Dossan of Heather and finally tonight got the time to play/listen to the tunesā€¦ they are great!!!

Anyone who does not have this and plays whistle needs to remedy the situation. Iā€™ve had a great evening playing the tunes along with the cd. :smiley:

Hey, you have the same birthday as my wife! Mineā€™s the day before, on June 22nd. Needless to say, I never forget her birthday! :laughing:

I have A Dossan of Heather on order from the Whistle Shop. Donā€™t know when it will actually get hereā€¦ Your endorsement makes me worry much less about my purchase! :slight_smile:

You will be very happy with the Dossan of Heather. Iā€™ve had two sessions with this book/cd now and it is so much fun. The style of playing is a bit different BUT the tunes are fairly simple and easily sightread and Iā€™ve almost got three of my favorites memorized now. The fact that some of the tunes have back-up instruments playing gives it a ā€œsessionā€ feel and that is always great for folks like me with not a real session in sight anywhere.

I did have to go to the bookā€™s webpage to find a list of the tunes on the cd so I could know what I was listening to. Perhaps they are listed in the book, but I was so anxious to get to it, that I have not read the book yet, just played the tunes.
