Birthday and Christmas Whistles

Yesterday for my birthday my wife Shannon got me a lovely little Alba Q1 whistle, very very nice whistle.

Also had a whistle arrive from Bill (Serpent), a low A with his latest fipple changes…the tone is chiffy but doesn’t have the breathy quality of alot of his whistles. Very nicely done.

For Christmas today she got me a Burke Brass Pro narrow bore D (wow!!!). Sweet sweet little golden whistle–lovely in every way.

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday. Rather or not you got whistles for Christmas, I hope today was filled with music and family and laughter and warmth.

James, they look wonderful, I’m salivating.

I got myself the Grey Larsen book. I’m waiting for my Elfsong D/E combo to arrive with baited breath.

Now, all you need is a lovely big Alba Low C Q1 whistle :slight_smile: … can be played quiet or loud. Very nice, easy blow, easy fingered, well-behaved…

Sigh..always Whoa.
