Just searching through the archives. Does anyone have further comments?
Seems to be a while since anybody mentioned it! Does this mean it’s not up to much?
Is it suitable for a beginner? It says it is but I’m finding The Complete Irish Tin Whistle a bit above me and that says it’s for beginners and up.
Loren, did you take the plunge and order both? How do you find them?
I never got around to buying the CD-ROMs, mostly due to the fact that I’ve had limited access to a system I can play them on, so I can’t offer you any additional info at this point.
Actually, I’m looking to buy or trade for used copies of the flute and whistle CD-ROM’s, if anyone out there is selling.
I’ve got both the Madfortrad flute and whistle tutors. These tutors are worth the money, especially so if you like Brian Finnegan and Seamus Egan. Personally, I think that the whistle tutor is suitable for beginners. It’s syllabus also has a “complete” feel to it.
I thought I wanted to sell the flute tutor until I got decent enough to appreciate it a couple of weeks back. It isn’t as beginner friendly, but you get to see the way Seamus Egan plays some things.
