Has anyone tried this cd? Is there enough advanced material to keep you busy? (beyond the basics) I’m an intermediate flute player interested in this cd on the Mad for Trad site. I would be interested in purchasing a copy from someone who is done with theirs. Brian
Its not a bad cd, some good advanced ornamentation stuff, decent tunes and it helps work with the basics. Its nice to see how a really advanced player interprets a tune…good to work on for rythm…I enjoy it and consider myself an intermediate player.
The tin whistle one is great as well. Some great not-so-standard ornamentation.
I just got this a few weeks ago. I’m a beginner (8 months playing flute), so I can see this will keep me busy for at least a couple of years. If you can wait that long, I’ll sell you mine then.

Are the tunes on the tin whistle one the same as the flute?
I have both as well. I’d say about a third or a little more of the tunes are the same between the two, primarily in the beginners section.
