So how many entries were there? How much goes off to the charity?

(By the way, running a charity lottery yourself is rather shaky legally. It was already going by the time I saw it, but anyone else considering it must run it past Dale and I first. Thanks.)

I’m about to “raffle” a new Fred Rose high D. The hold up is that I’m negotiating with a charity. What I’ll do is donate the whistle to the charity. The charity will then be accepting donations, and I’ll create entries for each $x amount.

Rich,
the total number of entries was 168.
which means $168.
$50 of it goes to me for the price of the whistle. I lowered my price from $80.
this leaves $118 for the charity.
Even though this lottery was my idea, I ran it by Dale from the start and kept him informed of the progress regularly. He knew he was more than welcome to take an active part in it. In fact if he had, the money would have probably doubled. But all I really asked him was to pick the winner, and he did.
The check to the charity will be mailed this saturday…along with the whistle to the lucky winner. Any reply or acknowlegement from the charity will be shared on this board.
