Giving away my Ralph Cook low D for $1.00
Here is how it works:
Whoever is interested sends me $1 and their e-mail address.
When I receive it, I e-mail you back a number.
At the end of April, the winning number will be the one matching the first drawn number of the official Lotto in Chicago, I will all let you know the date in advance so there can be no cheating.
The winner will be announced on the message board.
Any one game?
Dale, I hope you are ok with this. If not, let me know.
As far as the whistle is concerned, you can find infos about it on the C&F pages.
It is now out of production and is a very high quality whistle.
I have other low Ds and rarely play this one so it is practically brand new.
The original price was $80.
But it is now impossible to buy one.
Good luck to all interested!
Any questions, contact me via e-mail.

Edited for this new idea: If Dale agrees, I will ask him to pick the winning number…

Dale agreed to pick the winning number.
Also, any amount of money above $80 (the price of the whistle) will go to a charity for the children of Northern Ireland - sorry I forgot the name.
So go ahead and play!!!
If you win it is a really nice whistle
If you don’t, you only loose $1 and it will go to a good cause
well, Avanutria, if I only get a few entries, let’s say 10, then I only get $10 for the Ralph Cook and Dale picks a number from 1 to 10… as simple as that.

I have been asked to name the charity so it would seem less “fishy”. I will gladly do so.
It is the Children’s Friendship Project for Northern Ireland, Inc.
Let me also clarify the procedure:
you ask my address by e-mail
The first who sends me 1$ get assigned #1.
let’s say the 2d sends me $5, he/she get the #2,3,4,5,6.
the 3rd is sending $2 gets #7 and 8…etc
At the end if the total entries are 52, Dale will announce as “from 52 entries the winner is…” (and in that case, the number would have to be from 1 to 52) - Then everyone will know for sure they have been accounted for.
Now the first 80$ will come to me to pay for the whistle and anything above that will go to the charity.
If the entries are less than that, of course I loose money…but that’s ok(I knew it could happen when I started this) but most importantly, the charity gets nothing…and that would be too bad.
So you see, the only “fishy” thing is that is is connected through Dale and C&F to the now defunct 3 Fish Production…
I hope this helps and sorry for the long post

Paypal only takes a cut if you use credit card, I believe. I only use available balance and occasional deposits from checking and it’s never taken anything from me.
Paypal standard fees are 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. Not a good idea to receive funds for this through them, unless you wanted to help fund PayPal too… Most of the time, its good for who pays; but who receives pays for the service. Every time someone gets something for nothing, someone gets nothing for something…
Ah, here we go: we’re both right. From within Paypal (click “Fees” at the bottom of your paypal page)…Sorry about the huge gap, seems to happen with tables in here:
Fees:
PayPal charges Premier and Business accounts to receive payments. Personal accounts are free, but may not receive credit card payments.
