We’re approaching 20,000 messages on this board, which has only existed for about 7 months.
Chiff & Fipple’s subscription mailing list presently contains 2975 email addresses, not to mention several hundred that belonged for awhile and then left us.
chiffandfipple@yahoogroups (the subscription service I use) lists chiff & fipple as the #1 group for Wind Instruments, out of 50. We have nearly 3000 members. Number 2 has less than 500.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Man, the town I live in only has 4,000 people… wouldn’t it be cool if 3 of every 4 people you met on the street were whistlers? How about if we all meet at my local pub, and 3000 of us can all blow a simultaneous D"’ !!!
You’d all go deaf. Furthermore, the Earth would bounce out of its orbit around the sun and go flying into the uncharted parts of the universe. Not nice.
Maybe it’s just as well every 3 out of 4 people aren’t whistlers!
