Does anyone own or has played a Howard high d brass tuneable whistle, I have not seen any reviews of them and wondered what they were like?
While there are no reviews, your question has been asked at least twice before. The search](http://chiffboard.mati.ca/search.php%22%3Esearch) function can be very useful.
I had one for a while, and I’d say save your money for a decent whistle, the one I had was…well, I thought it didn’t sound or play very nice. But then who knows, the one I had was silver plated, so perhaps that affected it, possible I suppose.

i tried out a howard high D old style, needs much wind for a high D,the bottom notes were very quiet aswell,and an overall windie sound.but then again, i’m a burke freak,i love the sound of the burke’s!!
I owned this whistle for a while, but then Howard was kind enough to reimburse me without any problem when I told him that this whistle wasnt for me.
