A delrin, pratten seery for sale, 300 plus shipping.
I think it’s about three years old. Selling to pay my taxes
plus pay for another instrument. This
is a solidly good delrin pratten flute,
it has good volume, it sounds very much like a
wooden flute (except one does know it
isn’t wood, but it’s in the neighborhood).
Probably as good a flute as many flutes
selling for twice the price (or more) that I’m asking.
It has a tuning slide.
The fellow from whom I bought it in St. Louis
managed to create
a series of
small marks on the left side of the flute, close to
but not very near the top three tone holes.
This is something you must look for to find,
it actually looks good, IMO, and it makes no
functional difference whatsoever. One quickly forgets it’s there.
I don’t have a case for it, but it hardly needs one. I generally
just throw it in the back of the car.
It’s indestructible, it sounds good, certainly it’s competitive
soundwise with other delrin flutes.
Man, I want that flute, but I’ve got not a penny to my name. And it doesn’t sound like you’re interested in a trade. Oh, well; back to saving up my money.
FWIW - I miss my Seery (this is no reflection on my current flute). Heck of a good flute. This is a great price…please help keep Jim out of debtor’s prison.
I would buy this one Eric, but I’m short of money right now, and it’s not looking up for the next two or three months eighter.
Sometime I think I will buy one and have a go. But I really believe that I am a Rudall person. Of course, I will have to investigate this deeper
So, Ludwig, have you seen the Seery
D flute advertised on snortandsuckle?
Ya, Ya, Hans!
Do you believe the tale that Seery flutes
are made by slave children
in an underground
dungeon in Liverpool?
Slander, Hans! Agents
of the recorder syndicate spread this gossip!
Ah, Ludwig, glad is my heart to
hear this truth at last. I long for the melodious sound of the Seery D.
Yah, Hans, it honks like a lovelorn
goose flying over the central
steppes of Asia…two and one half
octaves of sheer goose angst,
in tune, lovely, complex overtones,
rich and deep…robust volume…
we hear it high above us, as
in a dream.
No more, Ludwig, I beg. Ah, I grow
faint with desire…
