Flutes For Sale! ALL SOLD

I’m suffering a terrible dilemma! No Loot = No New Flutes!!!

So I’m going to clear out the stable a little. I’m offering the following for adoption:

  1. Jon C. Rudall based upon Rudall and Rose serial number 5501, rendered in Delrin with plain silver rings, silver slide and an eccentrically bored head (like McGee’s). This is an excellent all around flute! The only problem with it is that it isn’t wood! (See: October’s Centerfold) SOLD!!!

  2. Mark Hoza Medium holed (based on R&R #5047, just like McGee’s Rudall Refined) 2-piece flute made of Cooktown Ironwood. This flute is an easy player with surprising power and excellent intonation and response. I would like $300 including shipping within the U.S.This flute also has Marks overcutting on the far side of the embouchure and a recess under the chin. These minor modifications, do make the flute more responsive and a bit more comfortable. SOLD!!! To a Prominent Flute Maker!

  3. Ray Sloan Celtic Student flute in blackwood and silver. This is a very Rudallesque 2-piece flute with a fully lined head. It has a very sweet and pleasant voice, but is not very powerful. The tuning is “traditional” producing that “old time” sound (similar to M&E’s, but not harsh in any way). There are some old repairs to the socket and a filled knot on the back. This would be a very good first flute for someone. SOLD!!!

  4. CAMAC Irish Flute made of ebony. This flute has a very sweet pure voice, but doesn’t sound Irish; I would call it a French Folk Flute (think of it as a Baroque flute without the Eb key and you won’t be to far off). It has a small bore and plays easily up to the top of my fingering charts in the 3rd octave. SOLD!!!

  5. Dave Copley all wood head (blackwood & silver). This is the original head off of my all-wood Copley. It arrived with some small surficial cracks on the back and the bottom edge of the embouchure. I’ve had it about a year with no problems, just keep it humidified and oiled. I bought it to use on my “Old Dead German” (Nach Meyer), which I have passed along. SOLD!!!

Feel free to make inquiries and trades will be considered!

All the Best!

Jordan

Vewwy sexy!

That is a problem.

Just looking.

I was speaking in reference to what Jordan says at the top of his post. Should have quoted.

I mean, I’m fond of flutes but I do draw a line.

As my favorite former President taught us, it really is OK to say, “I lusted in my heart”.

Anyway, not that Jon Cs flutes need another plug from anyone, but I have been playing his delrin Pratten-style for about a month, and I cannot say enough good things about it. I am striving for that “one and only” mentality, but the Rudall-style sure looks appealing. Somebody grab it quick!

Ditto. Plus, I am thinking that I should save up and get some keys and a slide on my Burns.

Oh good. I can tell the world about me and
Rover.

But was he over the age of consent?

Just e mails, I swear!
Man’s best friend, for crying out loud.
Platonic to the core…

Thay’s a good boy! Sit!

Gee Denny,

I thought you were a horse breeder! :stuck_out_tongue:

No sense in tryin’ to train horses without a dog underfoot.

oh, that lucky person who got Jon C’s delrin

I was just a hair too slow or you might have been talking about me.

However, the half full glass and all, I’ve got a brand new one on order from Jon.

I can hardly wait…

Are we there yet?

No?

Three homed but two still awaiting adoption… :sniffle:

This is the last chance for the Mark Hoza Rudallesque flute.

I’ll do $300 shipping included U.S. and I can accept PayPal.

This is an excellent flute (intonation, response and tone it’s got it all)! I guess I’m selling it because it is to easy a player (is that weird logic? :boggle: ). Seems I have to work more with other flutes and I guess therefore they are improving me!

I think this stems from Mark’s embouchure (kind of rounded rectangle) it makes the flute so easy to play it is just silly! :stuck_out_tongue: Yet, this flute is surprisingly powerful and can stand up and make it’s presence known at a session.

I will guarentee this flute to put a smile on your face and a bounce in your jig, or your money back!

Besides, the money will go to a good cause! Supporting my F.A.D.

I’ll report and post a picture of my latest aquisition next week (hopefully).

Thanks to All!

Jordan
