Can you explain that please ?
Ok
The Left-handed chanter if used by a Right-handed person and using keys or no keys.
1: left-handed Chanter can be play without using keys by removing keys and plugging tone holes with wax.
2: left-handed Chanter can be play without using keys but still have keys on chanter.
3: left-handed Chanter can be played right-handed using the keys as I was able to reach the keys with out any difficulty playing right-handed..
The Ennis Coyne set was originally built as a left-handed set, but Ennis, a right-handed piper, played it for years.
Conversely, Clancy, a left-handed piper played at least one right-handed set - the Reid Rowsome set.
So there should be no major issue for a right-handed piper to play Ferg’s left handed chanter.
Thanks, that was what I was wondering. But if it is possible for a right-handed piper to play the keys, would it also be as handy as for a left-handed one, or is it more difficult to reach for the keys ?
The lefthander would use different thumbs or fingers than righthander to reach keys.
No problem for righthander to play keys at all as I have tried this.
