CP: Keyed D Murray on eBay w/ extra Eb bod.

Hi Gang,

Just wanted to let everybody know that I’ve put a 6-key Murray in D with an additional keyless Eb corpes de rechange (that’s French fer “swappable bod” in case any of you guys don’t talk French good).

It’s a lovely critter. I’d have kept it myself but the coalescence of several ends of several waiting lists have converged to cause me some need for cash.

I put it on eBay as about 714 people have emailed me over the years saying “by the way Doc, if you ever get a keyed Murray, let me know”…I’m letting you know.

Tooters are, as always, the same as cash. Just let me know what you have before you bid so we can figure out the numbers. There’s no reserve and it starts at 1 cent so knock yourselves out. Maybe you’ll get lucky and no one else will notice it.

Doc

That is just like the one Loren is bidding on…

Something puzzles me with current Murrays the position of the c nat key, this one is the same as mine and it is horribly flat. Compared with my Rudall (which is in tune) the hole is over 1/4 an inch to the right as you view the photo. You can blow the note in tune but only with dramatic rolling out.
I’m sure he has his reasons, is it for the very on the edge northern style?

here’s mine compared with the Rudall

treeshark, what year was yours made?

2007 I would think, other than the c key the flute is great, very loud. It had a few wobbles in the cut of the embouchure which made the flute a little unpredictable, but I cleaned them up and now it plays great right up to the top of the 3rd octave.

WILL WORK FOR FLUTE.
