SAM MURRAY FLUTE FOR SALE

Sam Murray six key LEFT HANDED D-flute - closest offer to $2500 Canadian, plus shipping.

It’s just been completely repadded and repaired by Ken of ‘Ken Fornetran Woodwinds’ in Toronto. There were several small cracks in the lower joints and a larger one in the tuning barrel - the unlined head-joint is pristine.

This flute was made about five years ago, entirely left handed except that Sam made the foot joint right-handed (the E-flat key is still easily playable). I haven’t cared for it as well as I ought, so it’s lost some of its polish and has minor nicks and scratches. Still, it’s typical of Sam’s fine work and is as easy to fill, as powerful and responsive as when I first bought it - a joy to play. I’m selling to pay for a new 8-keyed flute.

It can be viewed at http://flutepics.blogspot.com/ , and if interested you can reach me at charlesjevons@sympatico.ca

Hmmm, I wonder if I could learn to play left handed.

Doc

Henke?

Henke?

Anyone?

Aren’t you a lefty, Wormdiet?!?!?!?

M

Yes.

Let’s just say this is a case of impossibly bad timing on my part.

Aha, and it looks like this one has a much more user-friendly G# key. Mine is made for Munchkins, I think.

Cathy - are you practicing your left handed playing as we speak? I can’t believe you’d let a Murray evade your Murray Museum.

Eric

I WANT IT, I WANT IT, I WANT IT!!!

There’s no way I could afford it this year! Cruel fate! Will I be able to stand letting this one slip past?!

 :astonished:  :frowning:

AGGGGH ! You’re killing me!

(There. Feel better?)

Actually, there is no Murray Museum at Mudhaven. At least not of the dust-gathering variety; my little guys get out and work almost every day.

And … believe it or not … I’m content with what I have!

(But don’t let that stop the ribbing )
