I need to sell my 3 key Sam Murray flute, It is pretty much new bought last year, but I just don’t get on with it. Other players better than me seem to be able to make a great racket on it but it is too different an animal from my main 8 key flute so it doesn’t get used. I think it needs to be played in that hard edged style which is just not me!

The keys are c nat, g sharp, short F.

Hm, that’s a good price. Is it a blackwood or a box one? I got a keyless last year (without a problem) and love it to bits, very easy (and I am not a hard-edged player at all)
Hi Peter, it’s blackwood, the flute isn’t difficult it just requires a very different emboucher to my Wilkes and to be blunt just isn’t as good so I just don’t end up picking it up and it’s doing nobody any good just sitting there!
A very fair price. I know what you mean regarding embouchures and character. I play a Wilkes and now have a Murray as well. I get on with both embouchures though. I´m extremely pleased with the Murray, it´s certainly lived up to my expectations. A nearly new Murray will be snapped up very quickly I´ll bet
