Can someone name these two jigs?

On a more cheerful note, maybe my Title Finder in chief, Avanutria, can help me with this, but I don’t know the titles of these two jigs and I’m not even sure these are session tunes, as I learned them from a teacher in Miltown. Thanks for any help.

I fear I may have to relinquish my title…I’ve never heard either of those. I may try to learn that first one, though.

Sorry!

Thanks anyway Av, I think think these are going to be tough to get. I will be posting two reels I’m currently learning also later on, maybe you get your title back then…

Watch out about that first jig, cause if you play Rose in the Heather it’s very hard to come back to it after you learn this one, anyway for me it is. They start the same and now I’m afraid to start Rose in the Heather in a session cause I might get all confused!

Ah, maybe it’s Rose in the Heather that I have heard before. I thoguht the A part sounded familiar.

Well, it’s mainly the first 3 notes, from F# down to D, that’s similar to Rose, and down the D when I try to play Rose I’m just getting confused, but I guess if I practice the two tunes concurrently that should solve the problem. I remember having the same problem with Green Mountain and Boys of the Lough, which has been fixed with practice… But if you don’t play Rose in the Heather, I suggest you learn it, it’s a beautiful tune, and played a lot, anyway at least in the sessions I went to. But there’s so many tunes, it’s overwhelming (sorry for the spelling!).

I shall definitely look into it. And all your spelling was correct, I believe.

Hmmm, some people made me doubt my own spelling, I feel anxious and insecure now…
