Bay Area Sessions in Mid November?

That works, thanks!

 !
(or did I already mention that?)

Oooh, tempting. I guess that’ll be up to John.

It could be the other way around, too. We could probably fit that banjo in the trunk, although we’d have to get the car washed afterwards.

It’ll be nice to see you again, it’s ridiculous that we haven’t found time to get together but we are always either out doing something or desperately not wanting to be out doing anything.

Amen, bro. That is aptly-put for so many of us. I “like” to go to the Chantey Sing in SF on the first Saturday of each month. Last first Saturday I had free was about a year ago, and I’m not even on the “A” list of Bay Area swells.

It looks like we’re getting up to a pretty good size, now. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

Standard potluck rules apply - bring what you like, if you can, but don’t sweat it if you don’t have the time (or cash, for any starving students that may be lurking).

I’ll have some drinks and party food on hand to start out. If anyone wants to bring anything that needs cooking or warming, we have two ovens and a grill available. Though the grill is on the patio, so keep an eye on the weather

Ahh, the bay area irish conspiracy. Angeline and I suddenly have a gig on Saturday night, in San Francisco. I think we can still come to the party for a bit if it does start earlier… When exactly does it start?

I don’t think we set a time, really.

About the only time that’s fixed is that Tom gets out of his conference downtown at 5:30 and needs to be picked up (we can cut cards for the privilege ) If you need to leave earlier than 6 PM you’ll probably miss him. But I hope you can swing by for a while.

Audrey has choir practice at 2 PM and will come afterwards, but that shouldn’t be an issue, I think - I can’t recall a house party that really started winding down before 9 PM, if then.

So does ~3 PM or so work for most folks? Earlier? Later? I’m pretty flexible - I’d like to pick a time that works for everyone.

Hi!

I’m here and I’m alive, and I finally have my clothing, and my lap top is finally functional.

(long story)

Dana, I’m going to give you a call around 9 or so.

Can’t wait to meet everybody.
And, oh, yeah, can’t wait to go to the music education conference, either.

Now, just to be sure I have everybody straight: Dana will be the one wearing the viking helmet; Weeks will be on horseback; Justine will be the glamorous chick in the fur stoal and Fel likes to wear bike frames; I’ll be on the lookout for a Red Wolf carrying a harp. And William the Monkey is invisible.

Did I miss anybody? I’ll be the guy with the bodhran and the striking facial stripes.

3ish is about right for us. It’ll give us time to hang out before we rush off.

Nice thing is, my rehearsal has been moved up to 1:00, so I’ll be able to make it without breaking a sweat.

No time to make a 7-layer this time, alas, but Tony (my Tony, that is, not Tony Higgins!) has promised to make his famous hummus (three varieties…red pepper, olive and hickory smoked), which is just as good!

Redwolf

The sound you hear is me starting to salivate.

Just got back a couple of weeks ago from a visit to our office in Israel - and I’m already missing the wide variety of good hummus to be found there.

Changing the subject - does anyone else need directions? (I was going to ask this before I got distracted by my stomach  )

I am so happy to be included as a NorCal person. I’ve always thought of my self as a bay area person, BUT, I live in SoCal, a 7 hr drive to my friends in the north. If my father had his way after coming back from the WWII, I probably would have been born in Sacramento.

Have fun with the music. And , Justine is so much into fur stoles

Fel, does this mean you’re coming by on Saturday? Cool! You know you are an honorary Bay Area person.

Yep, fur stoles, that’s me.

J.

Nope, I wish :frowning: Looks like its the Seattle tionol to meet.

Going to a birthday party for an old friend however at the Long Beach Aquarium

Have a good thanksgiving!

You too! I’ll be in Huntington Beach.

J.

I’m sad to report that we MIGHT not be able to make it at all… At least that would make us reliable, in a sense.

Oh well, we’ll miss you. :frowning:

Nice seeing y’all this evening. Justin, Eoghan is utterly ADORABLE!

Redwolf

Thanks! Great to see you guys. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to stop chasing my little Energizer bunny and play some tunes!
