I think you said that things wrap up for you around 5 PM or so Saturday. One of us can pick you up and return you to the hotel after - the best county bus alternative takes 3 times longer than the direct drive.

I’m not sure I’m clear on the date. Is it the 17th we’re doing it? If so, I’m fairly certain I can make it.

Though I could easily drop by to meet Tom on Thursday or Friday (I commute right past there), it sounds like the 17th works best for you, Weekenders, and feadogin to make it (Saturday). And it’s the best day for a house party.
Is anyone else thinking of coming? Does Saturday the 17th work for you?

Audrey - If Tom isn’t arriving until after 5:30, I’d expect things to go at least another couple of hours after that, though Justine may need to leave a bit earlier.. So unless your practice goes really long you should be able to make it with no problems.
Justine - Yay! We missed you at the last couple of parties, and haven’t met Eoghan yet. Please come, even if you need to bail early.
Lance - you going to be able to make it? The party’s not official until we get a round of “It’s all for me grog” out of you. I’ll break out the bottle of poteen if need be

It’s starting to look like a party
Anytime we get Redwolf, the Weekender and LimuHead in the same location singing usually ensues. The odds are better than even with any one of them, so with all three it’s a near certainty.

So, now the only detail is getting my bodhran through as carry-on luggage.
In these security-conscious days I’ve quit carrying metal whistles in my carry on luggage, but I’ve had no trouble getting plastic whistles like Dixons, Susatos, or my Serpent Pollys through.
Last weekend, going through security at JFK, they did ask to open my carry-on luggage - turned out that my flute sitting next to a bundle of foreign power adapters looked like a gun on the X-Ray. But the security man laughed and waved me through as soon as I started to put the flute together. I guess he wasn’t worried about threats to people’s eardrums. 
I’m not sure how they’d deal with an euphonium, though. And I could easily believe they’d treat possession of a bodhran as a terrorist offense.
I just noticed this. I haven’t been watching the boards lately… I think Ange and I can make it… Perhaps if Eoghan needs to be taken home before Justine’s ready to go, we could give her a ride back.
