Because there are some things you “are” forever, and some other things (or places) you “are” just temporarily.

I know…I know… sigh

Yes, as I’ve come to understand. Soy de Annapolis, y estoy bien, gracias.

Thanks, Trish.

If you’re in touch again, you might just ask him to check his PMs here. I may be going to the Pays de la Loire sometime this summer and thought we might meet.

This appears to be the same thing as a verruca in England.

If I’d known you were in the market Jerry, I had a real annoying family of them when I was a lad.

They (the doctors) tried everything to get rid of them, freezing with liquid nitrogen, painting with creosote, surgery under local anaesthetic, harsh language.

Eventually it just got bored and went away on its own.

From another thread:

The stuff I’ve been able to find about curing warts suggests that immune function is a key element to the warts not coming back.

One of the most frequently mentioned folk remedies is for someone to buy the warts. I’ve read accounts, which I’ve no reason to doubt, of individuals who had someone offer to buy their warts for a quarter. The person said they would buy them and they would go away and never come back. And the warts went away. Of course, we don’t know if this works in one in ten cases or one in ten thousand. However, if it does ever work, I would have to think it works because the expectation that the warts will go away strengthens immune response.

Best wishes,
Jerry

P.S. Zoob, how about selling me your plantars wart? I’ll give you a dollar for it. (Not necessary to send me the wart. I’ll just send you a dollar, and whatever you try to get rid of it will work.)

P.P.S. Dale, does this violate the rules about transacting commerce on the board?
