Will it ever end?

SIGH! :sniffle:

Some day winter will be over…just not this week :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps going out to rent a nice movie, set in a tropical location might help to lift the cabin fever dulldrums from your shoulders.

What used to work for me was a video that had all of the above qualities and a little something more to keep the mind working… Lord of the Flies.

Yup, worked like a charm.

Oh, I know! I have never seen an April like this. We just got some snow a couple of days ago (but not in the amounts mentioned in your warning) but it’s nearly gone now. I heard it was supposed to get into the sixties tomorrow, so I think maybe spring is really on its way and it will get to you too. Many plants have withered-up leaves or brown edges but I guess they will make new ones. Nothing blooming at the moment, that’s for sure. What sort of worries me is that the report said we would start having higher than normal temperatures. I don’t like it too warm, either  . I guess we had that two days of spring a few weeks ago or something.

Yes, and while you are enjoying the tropical climate in the keys, you can worry about the next hurricane.

My brother lives near New Orleans, and yesterday he mentioned (by name) all of the hurricanes that they are anticipating in the gulf region this coming hurricane season. Evidently, they have names even before they are born. My brother is thinking about moving while the real estate values are still high in his northshore area.

Yup, it is the truth. But, there are always Tornados. The reason that they’re rarely if ever named is that there are far to many a year to do so. I grew up in Tornado country.

Leaving the NO area might be a good thing to do. In it’s battered state, the coast will not suffer another hurricane well, especially a really big one.

I feel your pain Izz, we’re in for another storm here in New Hampshire Sunday afternoon/evening. Four to eight inches! :boggle:

You know, I loved that book. I really ought to re-read it. I’ve never seen the video, but I can see how it would keep the mind working  I may have to rent it. Thanks for the tip, Joseph

HA! Better you than me. Although, my forecast says “significant precipitation totals likely” or something like that. So maybe I shouldn’t laugh too loudly at you

Didn’t you guys just get a bunch of snow a few days ago too? When that last storm went through (the one we avoided, YAY!)

We did just get one. It seems there’s no end to this madness! :really:

We may get rain tonite; nothing is certain. Really would like some rain here in sunny southern California

Just where is it that you live Izz?
FWIW- here in the Albany area they cancelled the storm warning and now are saying we’ll get a lot of rain, but only a bit of snow. C’mon down…

In the “North Country” ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Country%2C_New_York )…about an hour and a half west of Plattsburgh, in the St. Lawrence Valley (if any of that is helpful, lol). I think that Albany is about 2 hours southish of me.

Maybe our forecast has gotten better too. I’ll have to check it out before I log off.

Ours has changed as well:

 You’ve been downgraded, Paul, and we’ve been UPgraded! Gotta love living in upstate New York!

wow, a winter storm. down here in fla, we are experiencing extreme heat. it is soooo hot :sunglasses: . im not rubbing it in, i wish we could have a little cold front.

Ah-- I don’t know that area well, just passing through on the way to Montreal once or twice.
If you ever head down 87 towards Albany, give a call!

Yeah, it’s summer here already.

The last forcast I heard for us said we could get snow Monday. Bah! I sure hope not. Although, thankfully, it would not be expected to be much. I am ready for spring again.

Oh, and Izz, I like the new “look”, quiet regal it is.

We say thank you to our loyal subject, cowtime, for her kind words about our newest look
