We’ve had 28 inches of snow in the last 9 days and are expecting another 7-11 inches today and tomorrow! Well above average for us flatlanders. Hasn’t been above freezing for weeks.
I need springtime!

Sorry, just a serious bout of cabin fever going on.
We are getting the tail end of your storms up here…in northern Wisconsin…we only have 10 inches of snow on the ground…and expect 3-5 tonight and tomorrow…but it has been cruelly cold up here…last weekend it was -25!!!
WE NEED SPRING…or St. Paddy’s Day…I am not fussy!!!
Take care down there Mark…bring out the whistle and play till the grass grows again!!!
The extended focus for Irvine is something totally alien to a Nebraskan. An entire week where the temp varies only +- 2 degrees from an average temp. Although we’ve been pretty close lately except our mean temp is around 15 not 68 degrees!
I remember going on a business trip with my dad when I was a kid to a southern state where they had gotten an unheard of 2" of snow. We were cruising along the highway in our rental car and the locals were abandoning their cars or ending up all over the ditches and medians.
And all the groundhogs in every prairie province here in Canada saw their shadow, promising 6 more weeks of winter! I think it’s a groundhog conspiracy!
We’ve had a great winter here. Snow started a week before Christmas and has continued every 2-5 days since. Plus it’s been cold enough to keep it on the ground so skiers are happy.
Much better than the past few years when we had only three or four snow storms and warm temperatures during the winter . This year it looks like during summer we’ll have water in the rivers and hopefully few forest fires.
And spring will be here before you know it. I can’t believe it’s already February! Weren’t we just celebrating New Years Day?
Just take a dram to keep your bones warm 'til May.
