It is SNOWING here! 
Weâre about to get hit by a nasty storm â wonât quite be a hurricane by the time it gets here, but will still cause a lot of damage.
To be perfectly honest, Iâll take the occasional hurricane in exchange for the two-month winters, but we had a real winter last year, no sun to speak of this summer, and now this. Blech.
SNOW? Must be a Black Hills thing. No snow yet to the North.

Snow in North Dakota, Alberta, a heat wave in Newfoundland 30+. a hurricane coming, drought in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and South Carolina getting more rain this summer than they ever wantedâŚ

I like snow. Thatâs why I stay here. One of my favorite wintertime activities is to build a campfire in a snowstorm.
I also love to walk outside at night when snow is falling. Itâs so peaceful. Unless, of course, the snow is exploding as it hits the ground.
I love snow, just not in September or May! I love snow in November, December, January, February, and sometimes March.
I donât think that you are going to get any sympathy here today Anna, the weather on this continent and in Europe has just been so wierd as of late, that we have only our little areas to worry about.
Glaciers are melting or almost gone in Glacier National Park in the US, the tundra in Alaska and Canada is thawing and Robins have found their way to places in the North were they have never been seen.

Yeppers, youâre right, although I felt really really bad for the English, and OUR Martin, during the heatwave! Nobody there was prepared for it! Gaaa, can you imagine sitting around under wet sheets? The fans all sold out, no airconditioning?

No, hee hee, it was a few years ago in the middle of winterâŚin Nashville, though!
When I was a kid, I loved snow. Heck, back then, snow meant sledding parties, making âice slidesâ on the road in front of the house, building snowmen and persuading mom that you really NEEDED a cup of cocoa. If you were REALLY lucky, it maybe meant a few days off from school (I think that only happened once during my school daysâŚin Spokane, you have to get a foot within an 8-hour period before they will close city schoolsâŚbut it was fun to get up in the morning, listen to the radio, and cross your fingers!).
Now I hate snow. I donât like driving in it and I donât like walking in it (which, more often than not, means slipping and falling on my keester, which bruises much more easily than it did when I was 10!). When it snows, it means itâs cold, and cold makes my poor bones ache and my fingers and toes go numb (andâŚsniffâŚI have to make my OWN darned cocoa!). Snow is nice on a Christmas card
