You can email it to me and I will post a link on this thread.
“The Tune”. Note that it does play in Winamp even though its file extension is not as common.
Ummm…sounds to me like a polka? I think it’s more than just one
tune.
But
I’m just a beginner, so what do I
know…

It’s a jig, in fact: The Lilting Fisherman. Nice tune, shame about the rendition!
Oops - there’s a second one in there: Paddy in London or The Mug of Brown Ale… Let’s fast forward: yep there’s a third one: The Rambling Pitchfork.
Thanks StevieJ and Avanutria. Much Appreciated.

I thought that was a good rendition, nice feel and rhythm. It takes a lot to please you Stevie!! Still each to his own.
Dave.

Isn’t it “Unto each his own”? I happen to agree with Steve. It would be a lot better without the piano & accordion, and I think the phrasing is a bit wooden esp. on the first tune. Doesn’t mean I could play it anywhere near as well. ![]()
Bloomfield,
I expect you are right and I am sure you could nit pick me and plenty of tunes to death.
I just thought I would say that I liked it. I am sure there are plenty of players who can be accused of playing stiffly me included but from my point of view I don’t think that that player was one of them.
Dave.
Sorry, if I was nitpicky, Dave. I guess I was comparing it to recordings rather than home-grown efforts. And isn’t it the great tragedy that our ability to discern quality exceeds our ability to produce quality?
All the best to you,
