this is more like it…

I can’t decide if eran’s avatar is playing a whistle,
or tokin’ a spliff!

Cool either way.

i assure u he is going to play all day after that..

I just Love this tune! It’s great!

Although I play the whistle for about half a year now, I’m trying to get through this piece as well. I can play the first part slowly now, but that’s only because I use a program which can slow down a track, upto 70% slower than the original speed. I was amazed how detailed Brian plays this tune. I hope to play it full speed one day… then I’ll be satisfied.

Oh, it’s in Eb by the way.

yep, finally ive noticed its on Eb…

Im also playing it slow now, enjoying this SOO MUCH

im actually playing the north star over and over and over , until someone shouts…

i have a few tunebooks, and i can confidently say that there is nothing like these tunes in those books…

its a problam, every simple tune is a bit boaring after trying to play flook.

what other tunes would u recommend for a fanatic lover of those two tunes…?

Just keep playing the flook tunes.

What is so different about flook tunes from other traditional tunes, is the way they accent off beats, it gives the music a different and flavorful feel.

michael, thank u very much for helping me find the notes

another question,

the ballybrolly jigs is a set of :
the north star
the ghost of ballybrolly
and??? whats the third? :boggle:

Mulineira de Santalia d’Ozcos (Trad)

All the Best, Tom

When I get back down to school in a few weeks I can send you a copy of all three tunes if you’d like, just email me your snail mail address, or I might even be able to scan it and send it to you via email.

Michael … blinkblink

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy as well? I’m really trying to get this tune, but there are some parts that are quite hard for me to decipher.

I’ll try to find a scanner down at school and email you both a copies of all three tunes.

Best,
Michael

The Flatfish album has some great tunes as well. One set you might like is “Bruno” followed by a “Quiet Autumn”. The music for the latter is on the same site http://www.irishtunes.net/jigs/aquietautumn.html… not that easy but really worth working on!
The first tune, “Bruno” I have at home, PM me if you want it and I can send you a gif.

Dave.
